Only persons who have been medically diagnosed as coeliacs through a jejunal biopsy (the microscopic examination of the lining of the upper part of the small intestine) may become members. In the case of minors, one of their parents or guardians may join until the minor achieves adulthood.
An application form needs to be filled in with all the coeliac’s personal details and submitted to the Association together with the membership fee and a copy of the biopsy report.
Coeliac Association Malta strictly adheres to current Data Protection legislation and will not allow access to members’ personal information and contact details to anyone.
This is sent to all members according to their preferences; whilst the bulk are sent by post, there are a number who have asked to receive it by email.
