Further to our recent posts regarding the problems coeliac are experiencing when using their vouchers, particularly at specific supermarkets, POYC have confirmed that there have been absolutely no changes in their policy regarding what coeliacs may redeem.
POYC have also confirmed that, provided the item/s being bought feature on the list issued by POYC in October 2015, there is absolutely nothing to prevent coeliacs from buying that product, irrespective whether the packaging carries any additional markings or not.
With this confirmation from POYC, as an Association, we encourage coeliacs to challenge any unilateral decision by any retail outlet that prevents them from making the choice/s that they are entitled to.
Furthermore, we encourage all coeliacs – members or not – to report all similar incidents by email to POYC on info.poyc@gov.mt. and to copy the email to the Association on info@coeliacassociationmalta.org.
